Muenster also known as Munster is a semi-soft cheese with semi mild flavour. Muenster is an American version of Alsatian washed-rind Munster cheese brough to the US by German immigrants. The main difference between Munster and Meunster other than their origins is that Muster is made with unpasteurized milk and that it is washed in a manner that results in a pungent aroma. Our Meunster cheese is made with pasteurized cow milk and washed with white wine giving it an earthy floral aroma.
